I write retro-fiction about American life between the 1960s and the 1990s, with characters and settings from Buffalo, NY, and occasionally other locales.

The plotlines are universally recognizable to women of all ages, I’m told, and the insights are deeply meaningful across multiple generations.

The Buffalo Trilogy

Book One: Virgin Snow

Published in 2023, this novel follows a young West Side girl as she navigates the tragedies and triumphs of her teenage years.

Book Two: Black Ice

Official Book launch July 31, 2026! Leaving behind a recent tragedy in Buffalo, Cosi McCarthy pictures The Big Apple as a real-life Oz, but it isn’t long before the curtain parts and she finds herself on thin, black ice.
